Digital Pool Chip Tournament Guide

This brief guide explains the basic steps to run a chip tournament using Digital Pool. In chip tournaments, each player starts with an equal number of chips and loses a chip after each loss. The winner stays at the table and the next player is assigned from the top of the up next queue. The last player with chips remaining is declared the winner.
After going through the tournament setup and adding players and tables, go to the “Viewer” screen and press "Start tournament".
Once the tournament has started, you should see some initial matches that are ready to assign to the open tables under the “Matches” tab.
Once a match has been assigned to a table, it will send a text message to both players letting them know who they are playing against and which table they are playing on (if the text messaging feature is enabled). It will also include a live scoring link in the text so the players can score their own match from their mobile device if they want (this feature doesn't require them to have a DP account).
You can also switch to the “Players” tab to see the list of players and who's up next.
You can click on each table in the viewer to enter the final scores for the match, or remove/change the table assignment for the match if you need to. You can also delete the match using the trash can in the bottom right corner of the scoring screen. You can create a new match if needed from the "Matches" tab.
After someone loses a match, they will be moved to the bottom of the "Players up next" list and the winner will stay at the table. The next player waiting to play at the top of the list will be automatically assigned to the next available table that is waiting for an opponent (You can turn off auto-pilot mode if you want to disable the auto-assignment and handle this process manually).
As players lose all of their chips and get eliminated, they will move into the "Players eliminated" list at the bottom of the “Players” tab.
You can also click on any player in the "Players" tab and see their match history and stats and add or remove chips if needed.
We are open to feedback and still making improvements to this format. If you run it and find anything that you think can be improved just let us know at contact@digitalpool.com. A few things we are working on are making it easier to handle re-draws automatically and allowing the tournament to be run in different ways (e.g. making the loser stay on the table and sending the winner to go to the bottom of the “Up next” list).
Thanks!
